Martha Miller Center for Global Communication
The Martha Miller Center for Global Communication opened in 2005. The two-story, 49,000-square-foot building houses the Department of Communication, the Department of World Languages and Cultures, and the Center for Global Engagement. The building was designed with an emphasis on ways these programs could interconnect.
The L-shaped building is comprised of two wings joined together by a rotunda, where students can study or attend guest lectures. The Martha Miller Center includes seven classrooms, 38 offices, an 85-seat auditorium and a media lab and is home to the student newspaper, radio station and television studio.
The building was named in honor of the late Martha Miller 鈥24 in recognition of the $3 million leadership gift made by her estate, as well as the family's long-standing relationship with Hope.
