Carrie Dattels
Director of Disability and Accessibility ResourcesCarrie started at Hope in August 2016 as coordinator of Disability Services. Her role is to ensure that students with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations to ensure access to academic courses, programs, housing and all aspects of residential life.

Professional Experience
Prior to coming to Hope, Carrie worked in vocational rehabilitation. She worked with adults and youth with disabilities to assist them in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining employment. In the years before Hope, she worked primarily with youth in area schools as they transitioned out of high school and entered higher education and/or employment.

Carrie loves Hope because there's an abundance of community and connection at Hope that enables ongoing personal and professional growth.
Outside the College
Carrie is a wife and a mother of three young children. As the children grow older, she is rediscovering her joy for reading, riding (road) bike and spending time with others.
